ALG's Annual Canadian Residual Value Awards.

(SANTA MONICA, CA) – February 13, 2019 – ALG, the benchmark for forecasting future vehicle values, and the analytics subsidiary of TrueCar, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRUE) today announced the winners of the 2019 Canadian Residual Value Awards (RVA), ranking Land Rover as the top Premium Brand.

“ALG’s Residual Value Awards annually recognize the collective health of a brand; how the brand successfully manages new vehicle transaction prices and incentives against used vehicle values and remarketing strategies,” said Michelle MacDonald, Senior Manager, Industry Solutions at ALG.

2019 will mark the fourth year that Land Rover will take home the Residual Value Award for Premium Brands. The British utility brand won an award in three of the Premium segments with the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover, and Discovery winning the top spots. Jaguar also earns the segment award for Premium Sports Car with the F-TYPE.

Award winners are determined through analysis of used vehicle performance, brand outlook and product competitiveness. Eligibility for a brand award requires a manufacturer to have vehicle entries in at least four different segments. To account for differences across trim levels, model averages are weighted based on percentage share relative to the entire model line.
