Press the lock bottom once to engage the alarm - press it twice for an audible confirmation. If your vehicle doesn’t lock due to key jammers, use the Remote app** or the emergency key to secure it.

Our smart key4 includes UWB technology which helps prevent 'relay attacks' where thieves boost the range of the key's signals to unlock your vehicle. Help yourself stay protected by storing your keys out of sight at least three metres away from the vehicle.

HOW IS LAND ROVER IMPROVING SECURITY?

We have invested $27m as part of a global initiative to bring our latest engineering fixes to older vehicles dating back to 2016.
We are still working hard on reaching as many clients as possible and are working in phases as to not overwhelm our network of retailers, roadside assistance teams and authorised repairers. If you receive an invitation to visit us for the update, please contact your Retailer or if you are unsure if you have received or are eligible for the update, speak to your local Retailer.
HOW DOES THE ULTRA-WIDE BAND SMART KEY TECHNOLOGY HELP TO PREVENT THEFT?

Our Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) smart key includes technology which helps prevent 'relay attacks' where thieves boost the range of the key's signals to unlock your vehicle.

How do I know if my key is a UWB smart key?
The UWB smart key was introduced from 2018 Model Year (MY)4 on select vehicles and is provided with all vehicles from 21MY onwards. If you are unsure if your smart key has UWB technology, please contact your local Retailer.
WHAT DOES GUARDIAN MODE DETECT?

The following activities will be detected by Guardian Mode3 and will trigger an alert: Vehicle alarm, vehicle engine on, vehicle unlocked, door open, trunk open, hood open, roof open, window open, alarm unarmed, interruption to EV charging.
1 InControl and Remote App features, options and their availability remain market dependent - check with your Retailer for local market availability and full terms. Certain features require an appropriate sim with a suitable data contract which will require further subscription after the initial term advised by your Retailer. Mobile connectivity cannot be guaranteed in all locations.

3 Guardian Mode requires an internet connection, InControl account and Stolen Vehicle Locator subscription. To continue using the relevant feature after its initial subscription period, you will need to renew your subscription and pay the applicable renewal charges.
4 The Ultra Wide Band (UWB) smart key was introduced from 18MY on select vehicles and is provided with all +21MY-on vehicles. You may wish to store keys for older vehicles with non-UWB keys in a Faraday pouch.
